Fossil begins updating its line of smartwatches with Android Wear 2.0

This is great for those who are in the market for a fashionable smartwatch.

Although Fossil may have been fashionably late in arriving at the Android Wear watches party, it did make in time to the Android Wear 2.0.

As of today, the fashion brand has started rolling out Google’s latest software to its Q Founder, Q Wander and Q Marshal series of watches. And as expected in Android Wear 2.0, you get the distinctly intuitive interface, Google’s fitness app, its Assistant, and the option of downloading apps directly to your wrist.

It is good to see Fossil update its wristwear without being fashionably late.

Rumours are already doing the rounds on the grapevine that other watchmakers will soon upgrade their listing to Android Wear 2.0 for at least some of their models, with Tag Heuer set to upgrade its line by the end of March.

Fossil has also promised an upgrade to Michael Kors smartwatch.

Although consumers aren’t likely to buy a smartwatch for just its speedy updates, however it is an important consideration when you are sitting on the fence eyeballing Android accessories.
