In a statement the head of cyber security at the United Arab Emirates stated the Arab state is facing increased incidents of cyber attacks after establishing formal ties with Israel.
In August, breaking a decades old policy, in a landmark shift the UAE agreed to formally establish diplomatic ties with Israel, Following the move, Bahrain and Sudan have also established formal ties with Israel.
The move has angered a few Muslim states as well as the Palestinians.
During a conference, he said the number of cyber attacks in the UAE has increased dramatically after the start of the coronavirus-induced COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement Kuwaiti said, it has seen many attacks in the region originating from Iran, without elaborating any further.
Iran said, it has also been the victim of cyber attacks.
