Jeff Bezos, the founder and owner of the largest e-commerce company of the world Amazon.com, has been the richest man in the world for quite some time.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, the personal net worth of the CEO of Amazon reached an estimated $202 billion as of Wednesday with the soaring of the share prices of the company.
Since January, the net worth of Bezos has increased by about $87 billion.
His holdings and ownership off shares in Amazon was behind the explosive growth of personal net worth of Bezos.
According to data from Refinitiv, in the last three months along, the share price of Amazon has increased by 25 per cent and for the year so far, the stocks have soared by an astounding 86 per cent.
Breaking records with his wealth is nothing new for Bezos, who founded Amazon in 1994. He was declared to be the richest man in the world in 2017. His estimated net worth jumped to almost $172 billion just last month which set a new global record for personal wealth.
But Bezos is not the only billionaire to have benefited during the pandemic. There are other tech tycoons have also surged in personal wealth throughout the pandemic with a continued surge in demand for goods and services of companies.
With his personal wealth surpassing the $100 billion mark earlier this month, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was given the name of a “centibillionaire”. And that extraordinary status is also set to be achieved soon by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who currently has an estimated net worth of $96 billion. Microsoft founder Bill Gates has already made it.
And with the soaring of stocks of Apple – now the most valuable company of the world, the iPhone maker’s CEO Tim Cook also became a billionaire recently. In fact, Cook is a rare instance of an executive, who had not founded a company, who became a billionaire and breaking into the ranks of the super rich.
Apart from his assets in Amazon, which is his largest asset, there are other brands that he also overseas. Apart from the e-commerce company, Bezos also is the owner of Blue Origin, the space travel company that was founded by him in 2000. He is also the owner of The Washington Post newspaper that was acquired in by him in 2013.
