On Wednesday, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) disclosed that its Twitter accounts have been hacked.
“This account and @EBRDgreen have been hacked,” said the EBRD on its @EBRD Twitter account.
“We are trying to get back to normal and apologise to our followers.”

Confirming the security incident, EBRD’s spokesperson said, the EBRD Twitter account “has been compromised” but declined to give further details.
