Following, the recent hacking incident on its platform wherein several high-profile accounts were compromised, Twitter Inc said, it is delaying the launch of its new Application Programming Interface (API).
“We have no evidence the incident had anything to do with our API, but we decided to move the launch to a more appropriate time,” said Twitter in a blog post.
Twitter’s API platform provides an interface through which programs can gain broad access to Twitter data that users have chosen to share.
Hackers had managed to gain access to Twitter’s internal systems and managed to hijack the accounts of several companies, billionaires, politicians, and celebrities.
