U.S. Department of Health and Human Services hit by cyberattacks aimed at slowing down response time

According to a report from Bloomberg, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), a key part of the federal government’s response to China’s Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, has been hit by a cyberattack on Sunday night.

In a tweet on Monday, the report cited unnamed sources who said there were multiple hacking attacks that was aimed at slowing down the department’s systems.

Representatives for HHS could not be immediately reached for comment.
