Alphabet Inc has canceled its annual developer event, Google I/O, midst growing concerns on China’s coronavirus which has started spreading outside China.
“Over the coming weeks, we will explore other ways to evolve Google I/O to best connect with and continue to build our developer community,” said Alphabet Inc.
On Monday, Alphabet had said it would move its annual cloud conference online.
Google has becomes the second FAANG member after Facebook Inc to cancel its conference following the outbreak of the Coronavirus, which after originating from the Chinese city of Wuhan, which houses a level 4 biolab, has spread globally.
There are now more than 91,000 cases globally.
