On Tuesday, in a statement the British government stated, it will allow China’s Huawei a limited role in building its 5G networks.
The statement also mentions, high-risk vendors would be excluded from sensitive core parts of networks, and that there would a 35% cap on their involvement in the non-sensitive parts.
The development is likely to have a bearing on UK-US relations given that the United States wanted British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ban Huawei completely, since it think that the Chinese company is part of scheme through Chinese intelligence gathers and steal Western secrets.
Huawei has denied any involvement in espionage.
