Turns out not all Galaxy S7 users are equal. However, if you are desperate to see how your device will look on Nougat, checkout the link below.
Turns out having a Samsung smartphone isn’t bad after all: if you have a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, your device is stated to receive Android Nougat, its most upto date version, before anybody else.
With Samsung making available its Galaxy Beta program, in an incremental manner, for all Galaxy S7 users, those in South Korea, the U.S. and UK will first receive the Android Nougat update, closely followed by China and the rest of the world.
However you will have to quickly apply for this privilege, quickly because, it’s a first-come first served basis, by applying for a Samsung account and downloading either its Galaxy Beta Program or the Samsung Members app.
Samsung had introduced the program for Android Marshmallow last year, so it’s possible that the app may already be installed on your phone.
Do note however, proud owners of Samsung’s limited edition of S7 Olympic Games edition or its S7 Injustice Edition, are not eligible to participate in this beta.
Only UK users who have an unlocked device are eligible. However, in the U.S. T-Mobile, Sprint or Verizon subscribers can participate in the program.
Just in case you are unable to participate but want to get an idea of how Nougat will look on your Galaxy S7, do check out Sammobile.
