On Monday, UK’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab stated, Britain takes U.S. concerns on China’s telecoms equipment maker Huawei Technologies very seriously.
Last month, Britain allowed Huawei a limited role in building the country’s 5G mobile network, despite U.S. concerns on Huawei.
“There has been market failure in terms of high trust vendors being able to provide telecoms infrastructure, and while Huawei is one of the high risk vendors we are very confident that we have the right regime to manage it,” said Raab to reporters during a visit to Singapore.
According to Britain, excluding Huawei would delay the launch of 5G and cost consumers more.
