SpaceX to launch its first re-used rocket on March 30

Elon Musk’s space startup is set to make history this Thursday.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX is days away from creating history: the private company has once again conducted a static test fire of its first rocket that it landed on an ocean platform since on March 30, it will be the first time in the company’s history to that it will be using an used rocket for an orbital flight.

Clearly, there is a lot of hope riding on this SpaceX mission. If everything works out right, it will prove that its Falcon 9 rockets are truly reusable.

SpaceX has been working on the technology for a while now, and if it sees success, NASA will save a sizeable bundle for launching rockets into space.

The first company that will be riding on SpaceX’s booster will be Luxembourg-based communications satellite owner SES S.A.

This Thursday, SpaceX is scheduled to ferry its SES-10 satellite into geostationary orbit so that the satellite can provide broadband, direct-to-home broadcasting and mobile services in the Caribbean, Mexico, South America and Central America.
