Initially in 2017 it will be in the U.S, France, Canada, Australia and the UK, in 2018 it will extend the program to 25,000 franchises worldwide.
In the last couple of years, there has been a growing trend among franchises, including, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Chipotle, Dunkin Donuts and Domino’s, which has focused on trimming the waiting time of customers by allowing them to order and pay in advance right from their mobile devices.
McDonald’s has however noticeably lagged behind its competitors. But as reported by Business Insider, Micky Dees is soon to catch up.
Business Insider has reported citing anonymous sources from McDonald’s stating that the company will roll out mobile ordering in the U.S., France, Canada, Australia and the UK next year.
By 2018, McDonalds will extend the program to as many as 25,000 franchises worldwide.
