Apple Plans To Deliver A More Compact iPhone In 2025, According To The Information

According to The Information, which opened a new tab on Friday, citing three sources with knowledge of the project, Apple is working on a more compact version of the iPhone that will probably be released by 2025.

According to the claim, the rumoured slimmer version would probably cost more than Apple’s iPhone Pro Max and be released with the iPhone 17 in September 2025.

The source also stated that the Cupertino, California-based corporation is now testing several designs for the gadget, code-named D23, which may have Apple’s most recent chipset, most likely the A19.

The anticipated redesign emphasises how much Apple has to improve the iPhone, its best-selling product, given the fierce competition it faces from Samsung Electronics worldwide and Honour and Huawei in China.

According to research company International Data Corporation, Samsung led the smartphone market in the first three months of 2024 with a 20.8% share, followed by Apple with a 17.3% share.

Apple’s iPhone revenue during the second quarter of its fiscal year dropped 10.5% to $45.96 billion.

According to the source, Apple also aims to discontinue its less costly iPhone Plus model and release a less costly iPhone in the spring of 2025 as a replacement for its iPhone SE.

Days after the company debuted its most recent iPad Pro, which includes a new CPU for AI processing, Apple announced the news in an attempt to overtake its Big Tech competitors and take the lead in this rapidly developing field.
