Over 10 Million Users Signed Up For X In December, Informs CEO

According to a social media post by X CEO Linda Yaccarino, more over 10 million people have signed up for X since December.

This occurs as big businesses halt their marketing campaigns on the site, putting the company—previously known as Twitter—at risk of losing up to $75 million in advertising revenue by year’s end, according to the New York Times.

We were unable to immediately get in touch with X, which does not typically reveal user data, to inquire about how the December sign-ups compared to the norm or the reason behind Yaccarino’s disclosure of the number. Elon Musk, the site’s billionaire owner, said in July that there were 540 million monthly users.

In November, a number of firms announced that they would be stopping their X commercials. These companies included Apple, Disney, Warner Bros Discovery, Comcast, Lions Gate Entertainment, Paramount Global, and IBM.

Musk insulted sponsors who left the platform after he sided with a user who made up the accusation that Jews were inciting anti-White sentiment.

Ads from large corporations were seen next to X postings that promoted Nazism, according to a research by the monitoring group Media Matters. The platform sued Media Matters in late November, claiming the latter had committed defamatory statements.
