As per a news report from the New York Times citing sources familiar with the deliberations at hand, the Trump Administration is set to extend a license which allows U.S. companies to continue doing business with Huawei Technologies Co Ltd.
An earlier reprieve issued by the U.S. Commerce Department is set to expire on Monday.
The Trump administration is expected to extend it for a period of time, said sources while adding that the decision could potentially undergo a sudden change given the ongoing trade negotiations between the two countries.
Neither Huawei nor the U.S. Commerce Department responded to requests for comments outside regular working hours.
