HP Inc collaborates with Israel’s Deep Instinct to prevent advanced cyber attacks

HP Sure Sense uses AI and deep learning to predict and prevent security threats.

On Tuesday, in a statement HP Inc stated it is collaborating with Israeli cybersecurity firm Deep Instinct to launch HP Sure Sense. The collaboration is aimed at preventing advanced cyber attacks.

Financial details of the deal have not been released.

According to an industry source’s estimate, the deal was worth more than $150 million over a few years, for Deep Instinct.

Rolling out on HP’s latest EliteBook and HP ZBook laptops, HP Sure Sense works regardless of whether you are online or offline.

With more than 350,000 new malware being discovered on a daily basis, HP stated it requires a new line of cybers defence. It went on to add, HP Sure Sense uses artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning to predict and prevent security threats.

According to a statement by Guy Caspi, CEO and co-founder of Deep Instinct, his firm was working with HP to secure millions of devices.

“This is only the first step in what will be a long and strategic partnership with HP,” said Caspi.
