The report from the National Enquirer is in stark contrast to Bezos’ security chief, Gavin De Becker who had reported that the government of Saudi Arabia had accessed Bezos’s private information from his phone.
As per a report from the publisher of the National Enquirer, the tidbits on the private life of Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s Chief Executive, were based on information gathered from a single source – the brother of Bezos’ girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
This report from American Media Inc, comes in the wake of a publication by Bezos’ security chief, Gavin De Becker, in an article published in the Daily Beast which stated that the Saudi government had accessed private information from Bezos’ phone.
In the article De Becker stated, there was “high confidence that the Saudis had access to Bezos’ phone,” while adding, it was “unclear to what degree, if any, AMI was aware of the details.”
American Media Inc released a statement saying its reports on Bezos’ affair with Sanchez were based solely on information provided by Michael Sanchez, “who tipped the National Enquirer off to the affair on Sept. 10 2018, and over the course of four months provided all of the materials for our investigation.
“There was no involvement by any third party whatsoever,” it added.
