China’s state planner approves $8.01 billion for high-speed railway project

The project is aimed at boost regional connectivity and comes in the wake of a slowdown in the domestic economy.

On Tuesday, in a development that boost inter-state connectivity, China’s state planner stated, it has approved a high-speed railway project in Shaanxi, a province in northwestern China.

The high-speed railway project has a total investment of $8.01 billion (55.16 billion yuan).

In recent quarters, China has boosted infrastructure spending as a measure against a slowdown in the domestic economy.
