The collaboration is aimed at building next-gen purpose-built electric-vehicles for Didi’s services.
On Tuesday, China’s Didi Chuxing, a ride-sharing company, disclosed it has signed an agreement with German automotive supplier Continental AG to co-develop connected vehicles and design purpose-built electric vehicles (EVs) for Didi’s services.
“Based on DiDi’s practical experience on mobility as well as Continental’s advanced products and technologies … the parties will explore cooperation mainly in the areas of intelligent & connected vehicles (ICV) and customized new energy vehicles,” said Didi while terming the agreement as a strategic cooperation agreement.
