Although a few of its systems were affected by malware, due to timely remedial measures neither deliveries nor production was affected by the intrusion.
Boeing Co’s vice president stated the planemaker had “detected a limited intrusion of malware” that had affected “a small number of systems”.
Media reports that malware had caused disruptions in Boeing were “overstated and inaccurate,” said the company’s vice president.
Linda Mills, VP of Boeing commercial airplanes communications, clarified that “remediations were applied” and that the malwares did not impact deliveries or production.
