Uber Technologies collaborates with Creative Media Works to allow users across the globe to book rides through the popular BBM Messenger.
On Monday, Uber Technologies stated it is collaborating with Creative Media Works, which operates as BBM Messenger, to allow users around the globe to book rides via the messenger service.
”With this partnership, BBM users can quickly request an Uber ride via BBM despite variations in quality of location, network speed, or device features,” said Chan Park, Uber’s general manager in Southeast Asia.
The agreement means that BBM Messenger users, including those on Android and iOS, can now book Uber rides without leaving the BBM app, or having to open a stand-alone Uber application on their smartphone.
Creative Media works is a unit of Indonesian media group PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk which operates the global BBM messaging and social networking platform under a license from Blackberry Limited.
