If it sticks to this rumoured launch date it will have to share it with Sony’s PS4 Neo which is also scheduled to be launched on that same eventful day.
Apple is scheduled to launch its next flagship smartphone, which, for want of a better name, we are referring to as iPhone 7, on September 7.
This launch lines up well with Apple’s previous iPhone launches, as most have been unveiled in September – the iPhone 6S made its debut on September 9, last year.
According to the rumours making the rounds on the grapevine, Apple’s next flagship will lose the headphone jack and add a new home button with haptic feedback. Its flaunt value could be affected since it is likely to look very similar to the 6S. If you are looking forward for a completely redesigned iPhone, you will have to hold on to your horses for a bit longer, as Apple is scheduled to do so only next year.
With the rumour mills pointing to a dual camera setup in the larger “Plus” model, this might be the way to go if you are keen photographer.
If Apple goes ahead and launches on September 7, its flagship will have to compete for eyeballs with Sony’s PlayStation, as the company is scheduled to launch the PS4 Neo on that same day.
