The service works only for those who are existing Bank of America card holders. As of now, it can only be used to withdrawn money. Bank of America’s new ATMs support not only Apple Pay, but Samsung Pay and Android Pay as well.
For those who want to use their iPhones to withdraw from the newly installed cardless ATMs of Cash Bank of America, can now do so thanks to a collaboration between Apple and Bank of America. Apple users can now use Apple Pay with these new ATMs.
Earlier this year in January, there were rumblings in the grapevine that Bank of America will support Apple’s mobile wallet technology.
According to a Reddit user who goes by the moniker WhatWhatTech”, he has
successfully used Apple Pay to withdrawn cash from his account from such an ATM in Redondo Beach, California.
You can recognize these new ATMs by the NFC logo that’s placed just beside the cadr slot. By simply taping your phone on that logo and keying in your PIN, the ATM will display a list of all available options for transactions.
Before you dash off to try this out, do note that this feature has not been enabled in all Bank of America’s cardless ATMS, just yet. It is gradually being rolled out. Furthermore, in order for this to work, you need to have a Bank of America’s card. Also, currently the option of depositing money using this service has not been enabled.
Knowing this, if you want to still dash off and check it out, go ahead.
According to Bank of America’s website, its contactless ATMs not only support Apple Pay but supports Samsung Pay and Android Pay as well. The service is being rolled out gradually, so if it doesn’t work for the first time, don’t be disheartened, try again.
