Google’s Allo uses high-end end-to-end Signal encryption

Signal is a high quality ‘Snowden approved’ high quality end-to-end encryption used by many messaging service, including WhatsApp.

Have you noticed the increased privacy in Google’s Allo? You will be glad to know that the service makes use of the Signal protocol so as to ensure end-to-end encryption when you go into Incognito Mode. Open Whisper Systems has even confirmed this.

If all of this rings a bell, yes, you are right, Facebook owned WhatsApp also uses the same underlying technology. Just so that you get your beauty sleep and don’t get disturbed by the thought of someone could hack into this supposedly secure encryption, privacy advocate and ex-NSA contractor Edward Snowden also approves of Signal.

Furthermore, Signal is also open source, which makes it relatively ubiquitous.
