The wide-ranging partnership expands the Bollore Group’s and Alibaba’s logistics network such that it can help diversify their respective customer base.
On Monday, Vincent Bollore, the CEO of French conglomerate the Bollore Group stated it had signed a global partnership with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
In a statement, both companies said, their partnership covers clean energy, cloud computing services, logistics and other areas of the new digital economy including technologies and innovations.
Incidentally, Bollore Group runs a large logistics business in Africa, a former French colony. It has a 20% stake in French media giant Vivendi.
Alibaba has been making efforts to expand its logistics network at home and abroad as it tries to diversify its customer base.
