Google to launch its flagship smartphone on Oct. 4

While Google is busy fanning rumour mills, its latest flagship could under the Pixel brand could be a potential conversation starter.

While Google has been busy running juicy rumours and loud discreet whispers related to its upcoming flagship smartphone, it is now finally sending out invites to its October 4 event in which it promises to disclose most of what you want to know about its upcoming Pixel Android smartphones.

It wouldn’t be imprudent to bet that Google has a couple of new Pixel phones up its sleeves, unfortunately their pricing may come as a rude shock against their Nexus predecessors.

If only Google releases a 4K-capable Chromecast and a new Daydream VR headset.

What looks to be a certainty is that Google will release a duo: expect a Pixel to be sized at 5” while the other could be a 5.5”.

In a play of words, Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO has stated earlier that its new upcoming releases are set to be more “opinionated“. What exactly that will translate to is anybody’s guess.

Google’s event is set to start 9am PT, October 4th.
