Twitter fined $100,000 for non-compliance to Washington state’s Public Disclosure Transparency Account law
In a statement Washington state’s Attorney General Bob Ferguson said, Twitter Inc will have to pay $100,000 to Washington state’s Public Disclosure Transparency Account for non-compliance to multiple political campaign finance regulations. Between 2012 through 2019, Twitter received around $200,000 in campaign ads and failed to disclose the same. Washington state law requires such disclosures.
